It's Memorial Day Weekend in the United States. The unofficial start of summer. We're kicking off a season filled with cookouts, beach days and al fresco dining. It's the time of year when most of us are ready for a wardrobe refresh! We long for effortless pieces that feel cool and look stylish.
In Boulder, much of May is wet and chilly... but we've finally turned the corner and the warm sunshine is abundant! I'm ready to share my summer faves from Anthropologie.
Note: This is not an affiliate post. I am not compensated in any way for sharing my favorites here. I know that sometimes shopping can be overwhelming and since I have a first-hand look at all of Anthropologie's new arrivals... I feel it's my duty to offer my two cents:-)
And, can I just mention the vibe of the photo above from Anthro's Outdoor Collection? Amazing!
I think I need a sky blue wall, a palm tree and a bright light! A little space like the one above would make the cold, grey days (though thankfully there aren't very many here:-) much brighter!!
Here's what I'm loving right now...
Cloth & Stone Benton Ruffled Tank - $78
I haven’t tried this one on yet… it just arrived in Boulder. Knowing Cloth & Stone’s quality and fit, I’m sure it’s amazing! It also comes in a white fabric that's a modern eyelet/swiss dot!
Woodsboro Tied Tank - $48
A classic. This top also comes in two other colors… a washed watermelon and a soft ocean blue. The colors are better in person than on the website. This tank is a touch sheer, but not in a bad way. Effortless, simple tank. It would be acceptable to own all three:-)
Cupertino Draped Tee - $58
I love this top! The fabric is incredible. The fit is SO flattering. One thing to note, the color is actually a dusty, charcoal… not a true black. I actually prefer the charcoal, but if you're expecting it to be inky black, it’s not.
Valeriya Top -$88
This is my kind of top! Available in navy or moss. Fine gauge knit. Beautiful drape. An elegant alternative to your basic tee.
Zuri Midi Dress - $168
The perfect, pretty dress! This dress is lovely. It feels like a party dress, but could also be worn with simple sandals. Great for small or large busted women. I'm picky about dresses... this one is good!
Elspeth Linen Shirtdress - $148
This shirtdress is super flattering! I wasn't sure I’d like it, but it’s gorgeous on every woman who tries it on! It also comes in bright pink and black.
Nautical Shirtdress - $148
To be honest, I was a little concerned about all of the shirtdresses I'm seeing right now. In the past, this style has often translated as nerdy or frumpy. But this year is different! There are some incredible shirtdresses out there! I'm completely smitten with this one. The fabric is dense and soft. High quality. Super fit. French girl goes to market...
Daisy Midi Shirtdress - $138
This is another shirt dress done right. It’s fun and fresh and so pretty! Subtly pleated around the waist, it can also be worn without the belt and still look great. I love this one!
Jaluit Striped Maxi Dress - $118
This item is technically a lounge piece, not a true dress. But… it could work for vacation. It’s soft, chic and sexy. It makes me want to book a bungalow on a secluded beach in the South Pacific.
Ember Lantern - $28- $48
I have a thing for cool lanterns. Thankfully, I don’t buy them all. But I'm not sure I can resist this one! I need this one! It’s perfect for a patio or a living room. Comes in a few sizes and shapes.
I'd love to know if you've tried any of my favorites... or what you're loving for summer!
And, if you have questions about the things I've mentioned or anything you see at Anthropologie... just ask! I'll gladly give you my honest opinion.
I offer humble thanks to all of the fallen veterans and their families. Memorial Day is for you.
Thank you for reading. Enjoy your weekend.
